Okanagan Gleaners

Feeding the hungry in Christ's name

Our MISSION

The Gleaners exists to transform produce that might otherwise be wasted into nourishment for the millions of the world's hungry. The Okanagan Gleaners developed a mission of “feeding the hungry of the world in Jesus' name".

A dedicated group of individuals gather together in Oliver BC, Monday to Friday, to process raw vegetables into a dry vegetable product which is then made available to Christian organizations to help feed the hungry of the world.

Fall Soup Mix Time - Big News Update!

The soup mix assembly line has been set up permanently in the Warehouse to allow a more relaxed effort to process our seasonal shipments to feed the world's hungry.
This change comes about from input from volunteers over the past few months, followed by discussion with our board, and a group of experienced members to work through the planning and implementation of such a proposal.
The idea of setting up the assembly line on a permanent basis will address many of the concerns such as:
3 days of pre-soup mixing and 2 days of post-soup mixing will no longer be required
The hard work required to just move and set up the process will now be a forgotten issue.
The toll of the long day making it harder to keep it up for 10 days.
So, this fall's soup mixing will be:

     Location:  In our Warehouse
     Dates:      September 30th - October 11th
     Time:       8:30 am - 12:00 pm
                    Coffee break at 10:00 am
Lunch will be served daily at 12:00 which will give us all time to relax and engage in fellowship.
Going forward we will be able to make soup or process veggies as the demand dictates.
Please plan to attend and embrace the joy of helping our Lord feed the hungry of this world.

                                       FUNDRAISING RAFFLE!
